Here is one of the paintings I have been working on for the XX show this Friday. You know what they say; "You can put pearls on a pig but it's still a pig" or for short "Oh you fancy?" It just means not everyone will know the true value of something. The rest of the paintings will be on display tomorrow night. Hope to see you soon!

As for tonight, Ana Bender will be performing at the 2 Bit Saloon in Ballard. I'll be handing out merch and hugs!

Royal Booze and Bar Bathrooms

I painted this for The Royal on University way and 57nd. I headed over after I dropped my paintings off at Bherd Studios for the show on Friday. This bar is great; it is Mexican themed with great art everywhere and now these phrases in the bathrooms. I have to go back and add a white to really make these "POP" off the wall.

This was also my first time using this product called Smash Ink which is a xylene based paint similar to One Shot. I used the color Gold Digger; very appropriate name! It was excellent, covered well and ate right through the plastic cup I was using... oops...

When I go back for touch ups, be sure to stop by and say hello!

I have been really inspired by the flowers and plants, tropical beach and art here. It is my last day and I am soaking in all the beauty I can.
As soon as I get home it is back to painting and work for all the awesome upcoming shows!

This is the last night we will be here in beautiful Sayulita!
Ana Bender Band will be playing in the main plaza tonight.
I am super excited and plan on dancing the night away!
I did 2 fliers for her here in Mexico, watch out Seattle Ana Bender is coming home mañana!

This is an experiment I was working on this afternoon.
It's an abstraction of a bird. The general shape is there, but the main focus is the calligraphy linework. I think when I come home this will be my next project; working this out and creating a new illustration style.

I am again in Mexico.
I love it here and get always inspired.
I am in San Pancho once again under the palapa with friends who are all creative in their own respects.
This illustration is the logo for the restaraunt we were sitting at.
