I got bootlegged!
Wonderful news!



I received an email from a fan that found these online.
It was a cigarette case with a lighter attachment. At the time, it was trendy to carry debit and credit cards and cash in these. A shop in Thailand was making them and only had 11 left when I visited the site. I wonder if the fan that found on bought one and how they knew they existed to begin with.
At first I was angry, I mean, how can they just steal like that? How many now exist in the world?

Then I got to thinking about it; of all the images on the internet these days they chose mine?
Mine.
Oh my. I then began to tell my friends about it, proud and very excited.

My friend Nick bought me one and wrote this wonderful note inside;

      "Bootlegging in this case, could be a form of flattery. But still fucked up. 8.19.2007"

I agree and am certainly flattered. I bought the rest and gave them as presents to my familia. The package indeed came from Thailand. Other stars and public personalities included Elvis, Tweety, Muscle Cars and Betty Page, so at least I am in good company in our stolen publicity. In a way honored as well.
