New Painting

Fish face!

This the newest painting I nerded out to the other night. I sanded the edges and rounded the wood corners. I also weathered the overall look by sanding parts of the background and painting itself. I really like the aesthetic of this technique, we shall see where it takes me!

I have several more pieces of wood this size that I have loose plans for. Currently I am excited about getting my space a little more organized and put together.

Thank you for stopping by and cheers from my home on the beach!

Yup.
Here are 2 of my favorites and I at Artoleptic 2011.
Mr. Augie Pagan and Ego.

This is the finished piece we worked on together. It was the first time I worked in collaboration with Augie. I have worked in the past at events at the 9lb Hammer in Georgetown for Art Jam (Check out the Seattle Weekly link for pics of this kick butt event). Collaborations of course is something Ego and I love to do and Artoleptic is on of our favorite events.

I have linked their names with their sites as well as Artoleptic, please make sure to check out their amazing work!

Stickers to Peel Magazine

I have been doing a bunch of these and adding to orders all around. Super fun and keep the day entertaining. It also makes me super excited to go home and paint.

Last night I pumped a painting of a fish spitting fire and started another black and white painting inspired from an illustration I did in Sayulita.

Let's go back to Mexico.

Adios!

I like utilizing everything... Including the ground... Think outside of the wall.

Have a fun weekend!

Progress but more like making a mess...

It's true.
I am having the hardest time focusing on this painting. I am not sure why, but I want to be done with it. Perhaps I should focus on other projects? Or perhaps feeling unsure on this painting is leading me to NOT be able to move to other projects. I have to figure out what my mental block is before I progress. One wonders...

I have been invited to speak at the UW in Bothell again. This was a great honor for me to do this last year and I look forward to scheduling another lecture. I will have to look over the past year's accomplishments and pick which I will highlight.

Okay, I hope this blog finds you well. I am waiting on the 35th skate decks to come in. This I am very excited about! Stay tuned for details!

Augie and I did so good! Ego came later on and he did as well.

Artoleptic was a BLAST this year! Thank you so much Jen and Shaina for organizing again another amazing event!

This was the first we all collaborated together and hopefully it will not be the last.

I hope all is well if you are reading this, cheers!
