Got some Sketching Done

Here is an idea I had. I found it while cleaning out the studio looking for Family Fortune ideas.
It was a rough pencil sketch that had a bit of character.  I worked on this sketch; tightened some of the details and finally inked.

Here is it in the computer clean-up stage. I am not sure this is something I want to pursue, but I wanted to share anyways. Thanks for all your support!

Alligators Gator

Gravis, Chandler and 179 on a alligator Gravis Shoe. This thing was SUPER fun to do. I'll research pic to share.

Currently working on getting my little room/ art studio together. I am thinking I need a little fishie for the room. Plants and fish are 2 things I feel I need to be surrounded by. It helps me stay calm and cool. Last fishie was an awesome goldfish who ended up living 2 years and was HUGE. What a delicious snack he would have made. RIP Pudge.

Okay, back to work!

179's prep for Upper Playground Seattle Show

Oh Mischievous Me...

This is the title of the new show coming up April 16th at the Upper playground Seattle location. Basically I am doing animals dressed as other animals dressed as other animals etc.

You will notice, I have watched Miyazaki movies over and over, read my graphic novels (ahem comic books) and read extensively up on folklore.

I have a hilarious alphabet I have been working on. Small ink illustrations, I'll post below so you can get the giggles too when you see them.

Flier will be up shortly, in the meantime, here are a few pics of the prep work and sketches of the exercises I have been doing this past year. It's an alphabet, I want to stay on top of my letter form game as it will help me in create better monster letters.

Plantilla Rock!

This is a  project I did last year?
I am getting so old, I don't remember.
Anyhoo, same deal as the Thought Control where I designed from a template.
This time is is a tape deck and it was shown in Spain.
Aaahhh, one day I will bask in the sun on a beautiful beach sipping sangria and eating tapas.
Till then, I will enjoy Seattle's 60 degree sunshine.

Thanks everyone for the support, cheers!
